For a roofing project in Panama, the customer purchased 0.813mm 3003 polyester double-coated aluminum coil and pressed it into roof tiles.
Worthwill manufactures coated coil and offers customized options for customer applications.

Aluminum roofing sheet produced from coated coil.
Recent years, the aluminum product is a new type of material that has emerged in the field of doors and windows. Compared with plastic steel, it has the following incomparable advantages of other products:
Uniform color and Changeable colors
The lightest among metal materials
Smooth and bright with strong adhesion
Acid and alkali resistance
Corrosion and weathering resistance
Decay and friction resistance and Non-toxic
Ultraviolet radiation resistance and Unparalleled firmness
Stable performance and Strong and durable
It has the two main types including fluorocarbon( outdoor) and polyester(indoor) color aluminum.
Coated aluminum is available in sheet and coil form. The coating system provides the protective and decorative finish; PE and PVDF are two coating options.
PVDF is a fluorocarbon coating based on PVDF resin. It is used for outdoor architectural applications where weather resistance and color retention are important.
Fluorocarbon coatings include traditional and nano-fluorocarbon types, distinguished by their surface film structure.
Polyester (PE) coating is applied and baked onto the aluminum surface to provide a protective and decorative finish, including resistance to ultraviolet exposure.
| Coating system | Polyester (PE) and fluorocarbon (PVDF) |
|---|---|
| Typical use | PE is generally used indoors; PVDF is generally used outdoors. |
| Warranty | PE: 10 years. PVDF: 15-20 years. |
| Coat structure | PE may use a single or double coating; PVDF may use a double or triple coating. |
| Relative cost | PE is generally less expensive than PVDF. |
| Common product forms | PE is commonly used for coils; PVDF is commonly used for sheets and is also available on coated coils. |
PE coating is widely used and can achieve gloss above 90%. A coating that is too thin can shorten its service life, while an excessively thick coating can clump. The coating application should be appropriate for the specified finish.
